Glosters origins as furniture makers go back more than 40 years and today the Gloster name is synonymous worldwide with the best design and the highest quality in outdoor furniture.
Key to that philosophy is the belief that outdoor furniture is as important a style statement as indoor furniture, hence the range incorporates both classic and modern designs to cater for all tastes and requirements. From the traditional to the contemporary, there is something for everyone.
Gloster has its own factory near Surabaya in Java, Indonesia, which started nearly 20 years ago. Both traditional and modern methods are used to achieve production standards that usually well exceed those of most indoor and outdoor manufacturers. The factory is run by a European management team and employs over 800 people.
Wicker Furniture –Made from only the highest quality man-made fibre – Hularo. Soft to the touch. This remarkable material has many benefits including high suppleness, tear resistance, UV resistance and weather resistance. The polyethylene based, extruded and through dyed wicker is also completely weatherproof, insensitive to differences in temperature and extremely hard wearing.
Teak Furniture – Teak is a dense. Close-grained hardwood with a high level of oil content. It is extremely hard wearing. Highly resistant to rotting and is almost impervious to the effects of sun, rain, frost or snow. For these reasons, teak is the first choice timber for outdoor furniture. Naturally, all Teak used by Gloster is sourced from sustainable plantations.
Sling Furniture – The modern choice for those seeking practicality, style and comfort. Using only the highest quality Textilene woven vinyl, sling furniture is easy to clean, and is resistant to fading, mildew and wear and tear even in the most severe weather conditions.
